Alicia has been working in the nonprofit sector since 2009, where she has worked with marginalized populations of diverse backgrounds. Her professional experience includes; working for a mentorship program, an exit gang program, an autism program and an employment initiative for individuals facing barriers to employment. Alicia recently joined the Parenting Enhancement Program at Surrey Place, as the program expands to service more parents with developmental disabilities across Toronto. She received her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Western University in 2015. She has supported individuals with IDD, mental health issues and those with dual diagnosis in their effort to become more active members of their communities.
