Description
Did you miss our webinar on September 14, 2022?
This webinar will examine how professionals in Child Welfare and those in Developmental Disabilities are committed and often passionate about their work. The perceptions and expectations each may have about the other’s services can often interfere with communication and collaboration necessary for best outcomes for families. This webinar will attempt to sort out perceptions and expectations, rooted in the underlying purpose of each, and build greater appreciation of what each system can contribute to good lives for families where parents have DD.
Presented by Dr. Susan Yuan. Dr. Yuan has worked in the field of developmental disabilities since the birth of her son, Andreas, 47 years ago. She was the Associate Director of the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion, Vermont’s UCEDD, until 2008, when she retired from the University, and established her consulting firm, Yuan & Associates. Dr. Yuan conducts training on culture and disability, inclusion, family support, and parents with disabilities. Currently, she assists in grant-writing, conducts program evaluations, and carries out competence-based parenting skills assessments in collaboration with the Vermont Parent Assessment Team at Sage Haven Associates, LLC.
