Developed by disability professionals, health professionals, and parents with disabilities, the 5 self-paced courses are geared towards healthcare professionals, but the information may be useful for any professional who works with or is involved with parents with IDD.

How to Access the Courses

Here are a few things to know when you log in:
Can I access any of these modules for free?
Yes! Module 1 - Introduction to Healthcare Supports for Parents with IDD - is available for free on TRAIN Learning Network. TRAIN is open to any professional, not just public health workers. You will need to create a free TRAIN account if you don't already have one.
Why is there a cost for the full bundle?
Hosting on an eLearning platform is expensive! The $10 fee for all five modules works out to just $2 per course, and goes toward the cost of maintaining the site. Want to try before you buy? Start with Module 1 for free on TRAIN.
Why is the full bundle on a different website?
The complete five-module bundle is hosted on TalentLMS, an external platform. The links on this page will take you there. Rest assured, it is a secure site, and the payment mechanism is linked to TASP.
Can I purchase multiple logins for my employees?
Yes! Email us at info@achancetoparent.net and we can send you an invoice, then provide codes for your employees to log in and create their own accounts.
Things to Be Aware Of
As with any system, there are some glitches and things to know about the technology.
Making Slides Full Screen
You can make the slides full screen! If you prefer not to see your progress off to the side, simply hit the square button on the bottom right of the screen.
Managing Volume
If the volume isn't loud enough, try raising the volume on your computer and on the TalentLMS system.
Moving Through the Courses
When moving through the bundle, the final screen of each course says "Exit Course." You can ignore that, and just scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "Continue to Next Course."
